Paolo Polloniato

Paolo Polloniato was born in 1979 in Nove VIcenza where he still lives and works.Paolo comes from a family historically consisting of of Master Craftsmen who have been tied to Nove's tradition, one of the most important centers in Italy for ceramics, for two centuries.Between 2001 and 2007, he attended the course of Decoration at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Venice.In 2002 he became co-founder of the Made in Nove group.His research spaces through the use of different materials, chosen according to the planned project and its aims.From 2008 contemporary ceramics became Polloniato's basis of research, developed through a review of the pictorial decoration andworking with  of the molds of various historical craftsmanship.He participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad in private galleries and public spaces, including - “IL FUTURO NELLE MANI. ARTIERI DOMANI” by Enzo Biffi Gentili, during the official celebrations of the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy in Turin - "PRIX EUROPEEN DES ARTS APPLIQUES" Mons (Belgium), - "56th FAENZA PRIZE" International Competition of Contemporary Ceramic Art. International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza (RA).In 2012 he took part in the exhibition held in Turin: "Wabi sabi. Italian slow design" where twelve Italian designers were invited to participate with their “object”  designed and manufactured specifically for this exhibition, mixing the virtues of technology and craftsmanship.
